All Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) in the Commonwealth of Kentucky must have taken a course that conforms to the 1994 National DOT Standard Curriculum. For any questions concerning EMT certifications, please email Brooke.Miller@kctcs.edu.

If you are seeking your initial certification as an EMT you will need to download the EMT Initial Certification Packet. This packet is to be submitted to the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services by an instructor giving a new class along with a money order or certified check for $10 payable to Kentucky State Treasurer.
